In short

Short version: we only ask for what the form actually needs, the funders have to see it or they cannot quote, the rules say how long we keep it, and none of it is ever for sale. Everything under here is the same thing said carefully.

What comes in

Off the form: the registered business name and EIN, how it is set up, the trade, when it opened, the business and home addresses, a band for monthly takings, what you are asking for and why, and anything you are repaying. About you: name, birthday, how much of it you own, phone, email, roughly where your credit sits, and a Social Security Number where identity has to be checked.

Off the uploads: whatever is inside the statements you send. And from the browser itself: the network address it came from, when each step happened, and plain technical details. That last part is there to show when a form was finished and to catch people misusing it.

What we use it for

Working out the file. Putting it to funders. Drawing up whatever agreement follows. Keeping the records funding and fraud rules say we have to keep. Ringing you about your own application. Nothing goes anywhere near advertising.

Where it goes

Funders get the file and the statements - no funder can put a number on something it has not seen. Suppliers get the slice their job needs and nothing else - somebody hosts it, somebody sends the email, somebody carries the signature, somebody checks the identity - and every one of them works to our instructions. Courts and regulators get what a lawful demand entitles them to. That is the list. We do not sell applicant details and we do not pass them to firms wanting to sell you something.

How long we keep it

A form that goes nowhere sits while it might still be picked up, then it goes. A funded file outlives the funding, because the rules want records kept for years after the last payment. Statements go when the file closes and that period runs out.

Keeping it safe

Encrypted on the way in and encrypted sitting still. Statements are in storage nobody can browse, opened through links that die shortly after they are made. Only people working the file can get at it. We are not going to claim that makes it unbreakable. It makes it a great deal harder.

Asking us to change or delete it

Want to know what is on file? Say so and we will send it. Something wrong? We will correct it. Want it gone? Anything we are not obliged to keep, goes. Tired of hearing from us about an old application? We will stop writing. Use the details on the get in touch page. We will check you are who you say first, because otherwise we would be handing a stranger somebody's bank statements.
